Who Leads Wilcher global management, LLC?
Shirley J. Wilcher, M.A., J.D., LHD, CAAP is an experienced authority on equal opportunity and inclusion, equity and diversity (IED) policy. She has also launched the talent management wing of Wilcher Global Management to promote opportunities for talented individuals of all genders, races and ethnicities in employment, education and the entertainment industries.

You do not take a person who, for years, has been hobbled by chains and liberate him, bring him up to the starting line of a race and then say, "you are free to compete with all the others," and still justly believe that you have been completely fair.
Thus it is not enough just to open the gates of opportunity. All our citizens must have the ability to walk through those gates.

Wilcher is the daughter of jazz musicians but went on to pursue a career in civil rights.
Wilcher originally hails from Akron, Ohio and Boston, Massachusetts. She is a graduate of Girls’ Latin School in Boston and went on to attend Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. Shirley graduated with honors (Cum Laude) from Mount Holyoke.
While she is the daughter of jazz musicians, including Jimmy and Jeannie Cheatham and the Sweet Baby Blues Band (www.Jeanniecheatham.com ), and her father, the late Drummer James S. Wilcher, she majored in Philosophy and French and spent her first semester senior year in Paris, France. While in Paris, she obtained a Certificat Pratique de Langue francaise from the University of Paris, Paris, France.
While studying in France, Wilcher decided to pursue a career in civil rights law and policy. To achieve that goal, she went on to obtain a Master of Arts Degree in Urban Affairs and Policy Analysis from the New School for Social Research in New York, NY; and a Juris Doctor from the Harvard Law School in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Wilcher has worked in Washington, DC for both the legislative and executive branches of the U.S. government and in the nonprofit civil rights and higher education sectors. During the Clinton Administration, Wilcher served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), U.S. Department of Labor. OFCCP enforces Executive Order 11246, as amended, and other laws that require equal opportunity by companies holding federal contracts. During her tenure, she oversaw an agency of more than 800 FTEs and she and her staff were able to promulgate regulations for the first time since the 1970s, including regulations that required federal contractors to submit equal pay data.
Her other experience includes service as associate civil rights counsel with the Education and Labor Committee, US House of Representatives; Director for State Relations and General Counsel with the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities; Executive Director with Americans for a Fair Chance; and staff attorney with the National Women’s Law Center.
